The Roller Coaster of Blogging
It is hard to believe that we are 21 days into 2015 and even though it is long past……Happy New Year! So much time has passed since I posted a ‘blog’ post and to be honest as much as I want to blog about Stampin’ Up, post projects and write about events I have attended / held it is hard to keep up with this when you throw in a full time job, a husband, household chores, spending time with family and friends, holding stamp classes & events, etc, etc! I wish I could say I can do it all but I have finally come to the conclusion that I just can’t (I know, shocker right! lol) much to my dismay. I have also realized that this isn’t a bad thing and I shouldn’t be ashamed of it…..instead I need to embrace it! So my goal for 2015 in terms of blogging is to have at least 3 posts up a month sharing with you cards I’ve been making, stamping events I’ve gone to or have hosted, techniques I’ve learned…..you know that kind of stuff and then keeping you all up to date with promos that are going on with Stampin’ Up or exciting projects I’ve seen online. These types of posts may be pretty short but I need to do that sometimes to keep my focus on blogging consistently.
Even though I haven’t been blogging I have been holding regular classes in my home and in the Fall co-hosted our semi-annual Creative Escape Weekend Retreat (our Spring edition is taking place April 24-26th 2015 and I would love if you could join us!). Next Wednesday I get to escape to Orlando, Florida for Stampin’ Up Leadership 2015…..I am SO excited! This will be my 4th Leadership and I just love attending these events as they are so much fun – and I get to learn so many new techniques and projects and get sneak peeks as to what Stampin’ Up has in store for the new year! One thing that I am looking forward to is Manager’s Reception which is being held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; a private showing of Fantasmic, a dessert buffet and unlimited access to The Tower of Terror & Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith rides. The best thing about Manager’s is I get to bring my husband with me and share this amazing experience with him as he is such a huge support of my Stampin’ Up business! I will be sharing photos from Leadership over on my Facebook page as well as on my Instagram (if you aren’t following me feel free to hop on over and give them a like!). I do plan on posting here as well once I get back from Leadership and sharing all that I learned!
I hope you have a great week and I plan to be back…..soon!!

Faux Silk Technique & Beautifully Baroque
One of the great things about being a SU! demo is getting together with other demos to chat and to see what we are each working on and a Team meeting is the perfect chance to do just that. This past Tuesday was the Stamping for the Stars Team meeting; I just love seeing my team and hearing about all they have been up to since I last saw them (both in terms of stamping & their regular life!).
The card they made was one using the Faux Silk Technique which I saw over at fellow demo Julie Davison’s YouTube channel (you can see the how to video here). The technique is quite quick but gave the image a really nice, textured look; plus it used our new Crepe Paper (I’m always looking for different ways to use it).
If you’d like to attend these fun & informative meetings you can email me for more information or hop on over here for more info on becoming a SU! demo. Anyone on my Team is welcome to my bi-monthly meetings!

Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek!
Only 1 more sleep until the new Holiday Catalogue goes live and I can’t wait! Every year I say that the Holiday catalogue is the best one to date…..this year definitely doesn’t disappoint! I have so many projects in mind that I want to do I think I just need to write them all down and then work from that list lol I just had to share a sneak peek with you of a new stamp set & accessory that I’m looking forward to using on a variety of projects.
The new stamp set is called Truly Grateful which is one of my favs from the catalogue (I really love the background image that comes in the set) and think it will be my go to set this fall! The 1-1/4″ burlap ribbon adds the natural element I was looking for this card. For texture under the button I just took a piece of the new burlap ribbon and pulled it apart to get smaller thiner pieces of the burlap!
Do you have your copy of the new catalogue? If not email me (email@example.com) and I would be happy to send one to you ASAP…..you really won’t want to miss all it has to offer!
Card stock: Cajun Craze & Very Vanilla
Stamp Set: Truly Grateful
Ink: Crushed Curry & Baked Brown Sugar classic ink pads
Accessories: 1-1/4″ Burlap ribbon, Big Shot, Apothecary Accents framelits, Neutral Designer Buttons (Early Espresso) & SU sponges
Highlights from Convention 2013: Be the Difference ~ Part 2
There were so many pictures I have to share from Convention that I had to break it up into 2 posts. The photo above is from the Gathering Place where there were a ton of display boards up, a products section, demo booths & much more. As I had mentioned in Part 1, one of the highlights for me was earning entrance into the Recognition Room! The Recognition Room had big, comfy leather couches & chairs, we could get our picture taken against a backdrop that resembled the frame on the front of our catalogue, have a refreshment & just relax and get a bit of quiet amongst the craziness of Convention. This past year was my best year to date with Stampin’ Up! and I couldn’t do it without my amazing customers & wonderful team!!
One of the things that was shared at Convention was the new Holiday catalogue but as much as I’d love to show you it I can’t until August 1st when it goes live. Next week I’ll be sharing a few projects with you that use items from the new Holiday catalogue.
Enjoy the rest of my pictures
